OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SERVICE
Our aim is to provide our clients occupational therapy services through a comprehensive rehabilitation day care, in order that they can achieve their maximum social integration within the possibilities of each person and through an individual rehabilitation program.
Occupational therapy is divided into personal adjustment activitiesand therapeutic occupation activities. The personal adjustment activities aim to a structural empowerment of the person and an improvement of his relationship with the public environment. These activities occupy at least 50% of the working day of the centre (except for temporary clients, who based on their individual rehabilitation program should limit this time to 25%).The therapeutic occupation activities with which, avoiding simple routine occupations, the client may achieve a tangible and satisfactory result. These activities cover the remainder of the schedule, always respecting the indications contained in each Individual Rehabilitation Program.
This service provides assistance to people with mental disabilities who are of working age, have completed the corresponding training period and have the degree of decline of which is equal to or greater than 65% according to the assessment made by the Assessment and Guidance Team (EVO) of the Catalan Institute of Assistance and Social Services (ICASS).
With these people one has to take into account the fact that, temporarily or permanently, they do not have enough work capacity to cover the costs of maintaining a job in a Special Work Centre. There will be no employment relationship between the clients and the centre at any time or for any reason; his legal relationship will always be that of assistance and of therapeutic care.
We work with the aim to adapt activities to the needs of the users of the service. We offer the following activities: gardening, autonomy workshop, music therapy, yoga, sewing, sports, crafts, local market in La Bisbal d’Empordà and Torroella de Montgrí, art therapy, walking dogs and dance. We also offer customized activities depending on the individual needs of each client. As we believe in the power of self-determination of the clients, we offer necessary tools and resources to participate in the leisure programming.
The Occupational Therapy Service of El Trampolí has a registration capacity of 16 places of STO. The Generalitat de Catalunya appoints these particular places. In addition, the entity subsidizes each year several extra places, especially for those who do not have the resources. In this way, the entity tries not to exclude anyone.
The Service operates from Monday to Friday from 9h to 13h and from 15h to 17h, and is open all year except for the month of August, December 25 to January 6, and during local holidays and all those that are derived from the application of the current regulations
